About Worship Probs
In 2016, Brian Tabor launched Worship Probs on Instagram out of a desire to bring laughter and encouragement to Worship and Production Leaders and their volunteer teams.
In 2018, The Worship Probs Podcast was born with a mission to entertain, encourage and equip those who serve the local church in worship and production. Through inspiring interviews with key industry leaders, hilarious “prayer concerns” guaranteed to make our worlds feel a little smaller, and answering questions sent in by people just like you, the podcast has grown into a thriving community and resource.
Worship Probs is impacting ministries around the world with more than 300 episodes and about 1.5 million downloads of the podcast, a significant Instagram following, and expanding opportunities to intentionally connect and equip ministry leaders through conferences, webinars, coaching, and more.

I get to do what I love: serve and support worship and production leaders around the world. I’m the founder of Worship Probs, a community built to entertain, encourage, and equip the people who faithfully serve the local church. Through The Worship Probs Podcast and Worship Caraoke, we create space for honest conversations, laughter, and practical encouragement for leaders at every level.
What started in 2016 as a simple Instagram account called Worship Leader Probs has grown into a global community of nearly 250,000 followers. Along the way, The Worship Probs Podcast has been streamed more than 1.6 million times, something I’m incredibly grateful for.
I’ve been serving in worship ministry since 1993, both in the local church and on the road leading worship at concerts and conferences with my wife, Kim. In 2001, we launched Tabor Ministries, which includes worship concerts as well as the Finally Free Women’s Ministry and Stripped Free. In 2017, we released our sixth album, I Found Freedom. My heart has always been the same: helping people encounter Jesus through worship and investing in the next generation of worship leaders.
After 25 years on church staff, I stepped into this season full-time with excitement and deep gratitude for what God continues to do.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me cheering for IU basketball, the Indianapolis Colts, or the St. Louis Cardinals. Kim and I live in Fishers, Indiana, and we’re thankful for the journey.
Scot Longyear
Scot Longyear is the Lead Pastor of Maryland Community Church, consistently named by Outreach Magazine as one of the fastest growing churches in the US. Prior to becoming the Lead Pastor, Scot served in various roles including Worship Pastor where he recorded four albums and toured regionally, in addition to leading the worship at a local church. Scot has a strong pastoral voice to worship leaders across the globe with his involvement as Pastor for the Experience Conference as well as host for The Worship Probs Podcast.
Scot has a unique perspective on what it means to be an effective worship pastor as well as an effective lead pastor. Because of this, he helps leaders and teams develop healthy relationships and walk through some of the challenges of ministry.
Jen Smale
Jen Smale is a dedicated minister, worship leader, mentor, and teacher with a passion for worship music and the Church. As a singer/songwriter, she uses her gifts to inspire and uplift others through authentic lyrics and deep spiritual truths. Known for her genuine and practical communication style, Jen effectively connects with her audience, making complex ideas accessible and relatable. Her commitment to raising future leaders and mentoring the younger generation is at the heart of her work, as she strives to equip and empower those around her to grow in their faith and leadership.
Jeremy Van Valkenburg
Jeremy Van Valkenburg is dedicated to using dynamic, gospel-centered, and Spirit-filled live experiences to guide individuals in finding and following Jesus. As an innovator striving for excellence, Jeremy fosters healthy relationships with family, friends, and colleagues. With Christ at the center of everything he does, he serves as a resource to both the Church and the world, playing a vital role in carrying out the Great Commission.
Brian Taylor
For over 15 years, Brian Taylor has served and equipped the local church as a worship pastor and a member of senior leadership teams. He is also passionate about resourcing churches and leaders called to multicultural and multiethnic ministry, helping them embrace and empower diverse teams.
Brian brings all of this to his role as Vice President of Slingshot’s Worship & Creative Arts division, leading a stellar team serving churches around the country in the areas of Worship, Production, and Digital/Communications.
Kim Tabor
Kim Tabor loves Jesus and it comes pouring out whenever she speaks or sings. She is a gifted worship leader, vocalist, author, conference speaker and host of The Stripped Free Podcast. She is also the founder of Stripped Free, an outreach to women working in the adult entertainment industry.
